Girls from the Chinese Mutual Aid Association performed a traditional Chinese dance called “The Ribbon Dance” at the Broadway Armory on Dec. 12.
The Chinese Mutual Aid Association at 1016 W. Argyle is a community-based social services agency. The agency provides valuable services that promote the interests and enhance the well-being of Chinese and other immigrants and refugees in the Uptown area, and beyond.
CMAA’s youth department offers a variety of academic, social and education programs serving youth ages 5-18. The Chi-Dance group seeks to connect to culture through the art of dance.
“The Ribbon Dance” was directed by Lillian Pontius Goldblatt, the youth department manager.
