Far North Side residents who use the CTA Red and Purple Line are invited to four community meetings that are being held this week to discuss concerns and share information and ideas about future plans for improvements.

Residents will be able to view and discuss plans for the CTA Red Line stations in Rogers Park, Edgewater and Uptown, as well as have the opportunity to meet with CTA representatives and elected officials. Visual design plans and information from past studies will be available.

The meetings are open to all residents and CTA riders and. Those who cannot attend the scheduled meeting in their neighborhood are welcome to attend other meetings, or send their suggestions and concerns via e-mail to NorthRedPurple@transitchicago.com.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) has procured $10 million in federal funds to remodel the Loyola CTA Red Line Station. According to an e-mail from Ald. Pat O’Connor, will be presenting their ideas for improvements to the Loyola station at the Rogers Park meeting, which CTA President Richard Rodriguez also plans to attend.
