As each year passes it just seems to get worse and worse when it comes to uptown crime and gangs. Helen Shiller has been no benifit with all her low in-come buildings that have caused nothing but more gangs and crime. Most of the residents like to use their voice but they have no spine when it comes to taking action against this crime. In my old neighborhood in bridgeport the residents do not and will not let gangs or crime to occure in front of their homes. To this day I would ahve to say it is very safe and sound. Not like Uptown. I even now refuse to even drive through it when I get around. From my car it makes me sick to see all the low-lifes that hang out in the streets and the residents say why businesses have moved and refuse to open here. One walk down Wilson and Broadway and you will have your answer. I love my area I live but the residents need to take action or soon the streets will be unfit at any time to walk down.
