St. Margaret Mary School, in conjunction with KaBOOM! and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, are building a fantastic new playground for the children of the West Rogers Park community on Saturday, October 3rd. The children who will use the playground have already told us all the amazing things they’d like to see included in their new play space. We’ve taken their ideas to heart and designed their dream playground. Soon it will be time to tackle the hard part-building it!
This is where we need your help! We’re looking for fun-loving, hard-working volunteers to join us on Saturday, October 3rd for Build Day. The playground will be constructed at the north end of the school (7318 North Oakley) in a single day! Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m., at which time we’ll dedicate the playground to the children and families of our community. We’ll supply breakfast, lunch, and refreshments along with plenty of fun, hard work, and friendship. At the end of the day, you’ll leave feeling fantastic-knowing you’ve helped to bring countless hours of happiness to kids!
